Will Basquiat’s “Untitled (One Eyed Man or Xerox Face)” sell for more than HK$170M at Christie’s?

Resolution criteria

This is a market on the final hammer price for Jean-Michel Basquiat’s “Untitled (One Eyed Man or Xerox Face)” (Lot 67), which is scheduled to be auctioned at Christie’s on May 24, 2021 (https://www.christies.com/lot/lot-jean-michel-basquiat-1960-1988-untitled-one-eyed-man-6321183). This market will resolve to “Yes” if the hammer price at auction exceeds HK$170,000,000 and “No” otherwise. The market will resolve according to the final hammer price during the live auction at Christie’s (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CBmFk-LXCaM). (Note this is a market on the final hammer price at the live auction, which does not include buyer’s premium, fees, or taxes, and is not equivalent to “price realised” as listed on Christie’s website.) In the event of ambiguity in terms of the market outcome, the market will be resolved at the sole discretion of the Markets Integrity Committee (MIC).
